Station 3’s Book Launch!

July was a very exciting month for Paw&Claw Ink, although we can’t actually share a lot of the reasons why. A lot of moments from behind the scenes that won’t come to fruition for a few months (and some not for years), but there is one we can share. It’s probably one of the most exciting: we held our first event!

On July 15, Paw&Claw Ink took over the SHOW room at Spark* York and held a celebration for the publication of Station 3! It was a lovely little gathering of the team, contributors (past, present, and future!), friends, and strangers—all there for our love of horror. All three of our current anthologies were available for purchase, alongside hand-printed stickers made by our very own Mikey, with some free homemade bookmarks designed by Lenny, Mikey, and Lyn!

It was just such a delight to see everyone there for Station 3 and its contributors and predecessors. Michael and Lenny did some absolutely phenomenal readings from some of our favorite pieces in Station 3, Above|Below, and CONSUME: including “Kaiser” by J.P.M., “The Spider Has Promised It Will Not Descend” by Dave Trumbore, and “GOD’5 FLE5H” by Charlie St.Martin, alongside our very special guest Edward Batchelor, who did a reading of his piece “YOU ARE IN A FOREST” from Station 3.

From the depths of our hearts, we want to thank every single person who made it out to our humble, little book launch and said hi! It means the absolute world to see the support people have for Paw&Claw, our team, and our lovely, lovely authors. We couldn’t do this without any of you—and a special thanks from Michael and Lyn to Lenny for reading some incredible pieces from Above|Below and CONSUME and to Charmaine for taking some incredible pictures of the event and helping keep everything running in the background.

And if you didn’t make it this time, don’t worry, this is not our last event! We have big things planned for the future, and we hope to see you there!
