The girl in my phone.

There is a girl in my phone.

She is beautiful. She smiles and laughs and is always at ease. The light always hits  her face just so, her curls falling much better than mine. Her friends are always visiting and  she seems to travel to many amazing places. Yet, having seen wonders of the world, she  will still find beauty in her local café. While she has some challenges they don’t get her  down. She isn’t afraid and she isn’t alone; there are many people who know her face. This  beautiful, happy girl who lives life to the fullest and tells the whole world about it.

The girl doesn’t know what I do for her, arranging her curls into tumbling golden  cascades, catching her joy at the opportune moment. Crafting her life from the pieces of my  own. I put my soul into the girl on the screen, making sure she is always perfect.

I’m looking at her now, sitting alone in a dimly lit room, my dull blonde hanging in  uneven curls around my face. I tap away on the screen, her perfect face coming to life  beneath my fingertips.

I wish I was the girl in the phone. I pour all my happiness into her joyful existence. She is what I want to be and who others think I am.

The girl online has my life, and I let her have it. I can’t take it back from her now, now  that I have her just as I like her. She can’t leave; I won’t let her.

She’s mine. She’s mine and I’ll never let her go.

GAME ON!
